Michael Perry (born 1961) is a game designer and artist from North London who is the twin brother of fellow game designer Alan Perry.
In 1987, they met Tolkien artist John Howe who was instrumental in them meeting Peter Jackson in 2002. Peter Jackson asked them to make a set of 54mm WW1 ANZAC's miniatures for his private collection and later asked them to work for Jackson's new company Wingnut Wings. They got a chance to appear in the movie Return of the King and fly in some of Jackson's World War I aircraft.
In 1996, Michael lost his right hand during an accident loading a reproduction cannon during a re-enactment of the Battle of Crecy in France. In a couple of weeks, he learned to sculpt and paint with his left hand .
In 2001, the twin brothers started the company Perry Miniatures after leaving Wargames Foundry where they had sculpted miniatures for 14 years. Alan Perry's wife Jill runs Perry Miniatures.
Both twin brothers are married and live in Nottingham.
