Rick Loomis is the president of his own long-established game company Flying Buffalo, Inc. (FBI) and has also often been the president of the Game Manufacturer's Association (GAMA). His company Flying Buffalo, Inc. is the oldest Adventure Game company still under its original management. It was also the first game company to run play-by-mail games commercially. In 1972, he was supposedly the first person ever to buy a computer solely to play games on it. He has also written a solo adventure for the role-playing game Tunnels & Trolls and designed all of the expansion sets for the popular card game Nuclear War. He was the first president of the Game Manufacturer's Association and was elected to the Origins Hall of Fame in 1989. His favorite games include Settlers of Catan, Mayfair's railroad games, and, of course, Nuclear War.
