Description Edit | History

I am the designer and publisher of the war game "First Strike." I came up with the concept for "First Strike" back in the mid-eighties. I enjoyed playing "Risk" at that time, but didn't like the fact that no matter how good a strategy I had, it still came down to chance. So I designed my own game without chance.

The game has gone through many evolutions to get where it is today. I must thank my buddies who were always willing to play-test the game with new it's developments. Finally, I hit upon the perfect opening... starting out scattered all over the world. This eliminated the on-going problem of players building huge defenses rather than fighting, which made the game take so long.

The world map is heavily researched for production and geography. The rules are fairly simple. But the possibilities are countless. It is a fun game that is always moving and changing.

I have my own business, "Ajcraft, LLC" which was founded in 2000. I am a Graphic Artist & Residential Draftsman. My last name "Feucht" is pronounced "Foyt" so I got nicknamed "AJ" back in high school and the name has stuck ever since.
