Star Fleet Battles - Tactics Manual was first released in 1987 and was part of the Commander's Edition. It was redone in 1992 after the Star Fleet Battles Captain's Edition was released, and was renamed to Star Fleet Battles - Tactics Manual: Captain's Edition. It was updated again in 2000 and renamed to it's original name after Amarillo Design Bureau took over complete control of Star Fleet Battles.
