"Hearts Of Oak" is a military simulation of the Battle of the Atlantic, which took place at sea between the forces of Britain and Germany in the crucial years of WWII following the fall of France in June 1940. It uses some components from GDW's "Europa" series of simulations, particularly "Their Finest Hour" and uses the maps from the series as part of the playing surface. The real function of "Hearts Of Oak" is an introduction to the unofficial "Bro Rules", which have been developed to cover the long-neglected naval aspect of "Europa".
