PRESTAGS

The SPI "Pre-Seventeenth Century Tactical Game System" (PRESTAGS) was designed and developed by John Young from the original five distinct SPI games Armageddon, Phalanx, Centurion (tactical game #14 published in S&T), Dark Ages, and Renaissance of Infantry (tactical game #13 also published in S&T). The entire original series was slightly simplified and made more generic with common series rules and game-specific rules, then released as a set of five PRESTAGS games by SPI in 1975. Later the five PRESTAGS games were combined in a PRESTAGS Master Pack also published by SPI.
