Publisher Statement:

Our Mission

The mission of Spellbook Games is to publish unique RPG products, focused on the classic Dungeons and Dragons gamer and Games Master, at a fair price. We will help to maintain the ideas and traditions of the game's founders for those that remember them, and pass them on to the next generation of players and game masters.

Spellbook Games, Our Story

Spellbook Games has its roots in the creation of our upcoming signature product Inferno, which is a reimagining of a classic module written many years ago by our founder and lead writer, Paul Elkmann. Paul finds himself traveling weeks a year and now writes RPG rules, worlds, and modules at night for his own entertainment. With the growth of the internet, Paul discovered and connected with fans of the original Inferno, who strongly urged finishing Inferno. So, for two years Paul worked on reimagining, rewriting, and finishing Inferno, until in 2007 it was complete, then failed to find a publisher. Several factors led to the formation of Spellbook Games in September 2009, including interest in Inferno material, our purchase in 2009 of rights to the original Inferno text, the success of the Fight On! magazine to which Paul regularly contributes, and Eric's graduation from college, bringing the skill set needed to make the media possible. It is Eric who pushed hardest for publishing Inferno and who formed the art team to make it possible. Now, in March 2010, we bring you Spellbook Games.
