Playhouse entered the game in 2000 with one boardgame cafe with a shop-in-shop and quickly expanded throughout Greece.
It started with two friends who loved to play and came up with the idea of a colorful café where you can find many different games and "Game Masters"-trained staff- who explain all the rules. Moreover, the players can buy the game they just played and loved in store.
In 2010, it consists of 12 Playhouses all over Greece, where you can play the best boardgames in the game industry and relax with a hot or cold drink.
Playhouse introduces the new games to the players and discovers the ones that become great hits (2001:Jungle Speed and Kuhhandel, 2002:Phase 10, 2004:Tichu are characteristic examples).
Several local championships run in each Playhouse every year, and the Official Greek Tichu Championship takes place in autumn-winter.
