Description Edit | History

Back in the late '80s I (Chester Hendrix) was getting serious about game design and, with visions of grandeur in my head, I decided I needed a name and a logo to hang my hat on and TERRAN GAMES was born.

Originally the logo was designed as a 'bullseye' and the tagline was intended to be 'TERRAN GAMES, On Target!'. While I still think the 'TG BULLSEYE' logo rocks, I could never quite figure out how to incorporate the tagline into the logo.

I took my Company name with me to ORIGINS '94 in San Jose where I shared a booth and sold copies of my latest creation, BASTOGNE OR BUST - a dtp Battle of the Bulge game. I was approached by Ray LaBarbera - he wanted to buy BOB to start up a new company. He asked if the name TERRAN GAMES was for sale also, and I was a bit giddy at the time - so I agreed. That's where TERRAN GAMES, INC. came from. Ray hung up his publishing hat and I took back the name. I've never added the 'INC.', so there won't be any confusion about who was who.

In 2005 I created a life counter for use with MTG and had it manufactured by a local pewter forger. As I was creating the logo artwork, I happened upon the phrase 'good times' and it just stuck. I added it to the logo and I'm good to go from here.
