Founded in 1880, their first deck of playing cards was completed in 1881. In 1894, it was named The United States Playing Card Company.

Their "Bicycle®" playing card brand has been in continuous production since 1885.

The company has also acquired other card brands including the "Bee®" brand and "Congress®" brand of playing cards.
