Editions du Matagot is a leading boardgame company in France, based in Paris.

They also currently publish three independant niche RPG lines: Cendres, Te Deum pour un Massacre and Metal Adventures.

According to south-western French folklore, a matagot, or Silver Cat, is an evil spirit embodied in a black cat, that brings wealth to its owner if properly fed and kept.
