Games for the World is a UK based company created by long-time board games player, Shaun Derrick. Currently the only game published by GftW is The World Cup Game, a unique football (soccer) themed game allowing players to recreate any World Cup tournament from the past.
Being a micro-business, new titles will be slow to appear. However, at least one other game has already been released:
'The World Cup Card Game - 2010 edition' A card game to play through the 2010 World Cup tournament.
Also, three other games are in the pipeline -
'Imperialism - the zenith of Empire' which will recreate the pre-WWI period of world politics, colonialism and tension. A kind of cross between Pax Britannica and the GMT card driven war games.
'Tribes & Kingdoms' recreates the history of medieval Spain from the end of the Roman period to the creation of modern Spain in the 15th century.
'The Rugby World Cup Game' is a kind of sequel to the World Cup football (soccer) game compendium. Each game will cover a complete Rugby World Cup tournament. Prototype due before the end of 2009.
