User Summary
Pàcly replaces the kanji on traditional shogi pieces with simple illustrations of expressive little fellows, in order to increase the accessibility of the game. The unpromoted side is the character's anterior, and the promoted side is his posterior. On both sides, his clothes depict the way he moves. The paper gameboard depicts elements of each piece's outfit in order to facilitate setup. With so many distinctive features already, the only way to top it is this: Store the game in the included house-shaped cardboard box. Simply lift the house from its foundation to take the men out to the battlefield. When you're done playing, "you may also toss them in the chimney like Santa Claus."
