Description Edit | History

This 20th anniversary limited edition was published in 2003 to mark the twentieth anniversary of the original game of Scotland Yard. This limited edition is packaged in an all-metal tin.
The components of the game appear to be the same as the standard boxed edition of Scotland Yard from 2000, except that the cardboard visor was replaced with a real ball cap.
Compared to the original 1983 edition, this edition includes a new redrawn gameboard, which is larger in both width and length than the original, and is a quad-fold board as opposed to the original tri-fold board, with updated graphics containing multi-colored buildings that contain windows.
Also new compared to the original, are the player pieces, which are now taller and more closely resemble a cone, providing easier unobstructed viewing of the number on the bus/taxi/underground stop that the piece is located on, the top of which now displays the color of the piece, making it easier to tell which player owns which piece.
The tickets for the Taxi/Bus/Underground now have a black background and have large black lettering, but with a White/Cyan/Orange halo (respectively) around the word, and are very easy to read.
Also included is a special black baseball cap for Mr. X to wear which has "Mr. X" embroidered on the front of the cap in a yellow gold stitching.
The 52-page rule book is multi-lingual and is sectioned by language.
