8/2008 An everyone-pick-on-the-leader kind of game. The game fails at attempting to be funny and drags on forever with trivial discussions.

Received 15/11-2014 in Spill-o-rama XI math-trade.

A less than mediocre game of very chaotic intrigue. The unbalanced cards really shake things up too much in this game.

The game seemed interesting when looking at the box, but reading the rules, it was clear it wasn't very balanced between the characters and the "everyone gets +1" cards resulted in a lot of micromanagement and nuisances when you forget about the chain reactions.

Played a couple times. INteresting with the right group of fibbers and schemers. Without, it fizzles. Still, not the worst.

I played this at ConquestSF 2007. I just couldn't wrap my head around this one at all even after attempting to type out a summary of the simplified rules beforehand. The strikingly bright colors and cutesy artwork and names didn't help. I think it may only play well with five players. My game only had four players. The king's daughter seems to have a big advantage, as her backer won both games that I saw. The open-ended offering of payment to refuse penalty reminded me too much of Knizia's Quo Vadis game. Everyone else seemed to like it, so perhaps you should ignore my opinion. I think many of those who liked it played lots of role-playing games. At least it's short. Perhaps I could figure it out better on the second attempt. Games with "prestige points" aren't necessarily my thing either.

Very interesting and fairly tense game. The event cards aren't so much overpowered as they are "screw-the-next-guy". The length of the game seemed to come more from reading the lengthy card text than from negotiations. (Cards like "search-the-discard-pile" do not help timewise). Finally, I was a little disappointed at the movement of candidates. Rather than a constant flow of movement, the candidates remained static for periods of time, and then would suddenly jump standings.

Fun for a casual play. Not enough meat for serious play.

Interesting idea..A bit shallow in the components and complexity for my tastes, but we have had a few rousing plays..Mostly about preventing old Dad from winning...
