This game is fun. I like the tension created by the first round betting, as you either risk paying full price, or pay half for a lesser card. Once one drops out, the rest follow suit, leaving someone holding the bag. And the bluffing and second-guessing of the second round make for a nice change of pace. And it's super quick.

Bare-bones bidding and bluffing game, quick and elegant; a personal favorite. I'm absolutely in love with the double-layered bidding, in which the second auction is bid on using cards won during the first auction. (Note: I am a *major* math geek, and therefore probably rating the game more highly than you would.)

An amazingly simple game. Surprising amount of decisions for such few rules. Plays nice and quick, we work this into almost every gaming session.

One of my all-time favorite fillers. I like it especially with 3 players. I find it fascinating that it's the relative value of your cards that are important, not their exact values. I've only played non-Uberplay versions, and have no intention of ever changing that (why do companies insist on mucking with the rules to perfectly good games??).

This is a solid filler game. My first play, I was woefully in last, but by the fourth play our scores were very tight, less than 3 points between players. I like the double auction aspect. I imagine that the fun of this filler would wear off over time.

This is a great little auction game. I love that the first half of the game is essentially bidding on bidding material for the end game, and the great tactical decision-making. It certainly isn't a brain burner, but it's good for some quick fun, and scales nicely.

I enjoy the clever mechanics of bidding to win & then using those won bids to buy VP's. But the math underlying the game seems a bit naked to me and i wonder how long before the game could be mastered and played on autopilot.

The cartoony facade masks some real elegance here. A very smart, simple design that (I suspect) should have real staying power.

Possibly the best ratio of depth/time you can get. It's not the deepest game, but for one that plays in about 5-10 minutes, it has a good amount of strategy.
