Excellent abstract boardgame. A simpler version of chess without all the pieces but all of the strategy.

Easy to pick up, hard to put down. I can introduce this game to almost everyone and get a good game out of it. But also not so simple that it isn't entertaining.

Lots of fun. A definite must own. Purchase this when you see it. The publisher has a history of limited runs. Simple and intricate. Very easy to learn. (As good as Tsuro) I found the presentation and pieces a little more budget than what I expect from Wizkids - I'd give it a ten if the piecesd were of a higher quality. The board is of very high quality why not make bits to match? However, fun to play and a great 2 player game to add to my collection. This is a great game for fans of chess, tsuro, deflexion, go etc...

Elegantly simple in design, yet complex enough to keep you figuring out strategies several moves in advance. Would have preferred if the pieces could have been made out of wood as well - the plastic cheapens the game feeling a bit.

A Zen-like abstract game somewhat reminiscent of moving the Rooks in Chess. I think Chess, Go and Abalone players would love it. It's a real thinker and although I haven't worked out any really good strategies myself yet, it can't be long before someone writes a whole article on just that. I'd say that keeping pieces together in the middle of the board and making a line of 4 (which can't be pushed) seems to be a possibility - but it'll only take you so far!

Lovely pieces - it's definitely a "coffee-table game" as well as a player.

I'm sure this will come out a lot over the years and my 7 year old son has already got a yen for it.

Quick and enjoyable. Kind of like a halfway point between checkers and chess in terms of strategy. The gameplay is simple enough to explain in about a minute and yet it allows for a certain amount of planning ahead to try and trap your opponent rather than just getting lucky.

Chess isn't for everyone and neither is Oshi, but I would recommend at least trying both.

Really enjoyable abstract. Some users' comments don't seem to fit this game; it seems they either didn't do their diligence in reading the instructions or really aren't the target audience for Oshi. It's not the shortest or fastest game out there, nor is it the longest or most complicated or involved. It's just an all around good abstract, and as a plus you can use its board to play Shogi, if you're like me and have a little box of wooden Shogi pieces lying around.

A chess like game, but far quicker and not as complicated. If you like that sort of thing, I heartily recommend it. Not a massive score as I feel it wouldn't stand up to repeat plays all that well, but definitely something to crack out every now and again. A lot like chess actually.

Simple, light and fun. Can be played in a very short space of time or agonised over. Similar mech to castle movement in chess crossed with stacking of Draughts. Strategically a lot like chess lite. Liked it.

Caught a demo recently of this one. Sort of along the lines of WizKids last boardgame, Tsuro, but has a bit more depth to it. Lots of pre-planning and setting up to do with your moves like Chess. Looks to be a keeper. I think my rating will go up to an 8 after another play or 2.

I quite like this game. First off, the rules are very simple. You can teach someone (even a non-gamer) to play in about 7-10 minutes. Second, it's something that appeals to non-gamers. It's not flashy or complicated looking (but still stylish), it's a very quick game to play (generally). Third, I can actually get the girlfriend to play (which is always a plus!).

Fun, but since I generally only play with the same person, and that particular person takes forever to make moves, it gets a bit boring for me toward the end. Still, I keep coming back for more, so it's a pretty neat game.

FILLS A HOLE? No. I prefer Chess and Shogi for moving abstract "armies" on a board. Yes it's different, but still.

This is a rather intriguing game. Very simple rules that lead to very complex situations. I prefer abalone since this one gives chess headaches. But if you like abstract games, you cannot go wrong with this one. The box says that it takes 20 min, well add another 40 minutes for thinking! be ready to loose quite a bit of brain cells here.

Better than I expected. Deep chess-like abstract. The only complain is that IMO the board is too big and some pieces (often 1 floor buildings) stay apart of the game.
