Cool word game with a great bluffing element. You've got to have a good vocabulary though.

Essentially Superghost: The Card Game. Very good with people who like Superghost, not so good with people who don't (reasonably enough). Suggest playing with a rule that you can't use the Switch card to switch two wild cards (which is a no-op).

Not as much fun when I pulled it out recently (with players who like similar games). Not sure why.

I'm not a huge fan of word games but this game provides an interesting twist which makes it fun. I recommend using a time so people don't take too long between turns which causes the game to drag.

I like word games, and this little filler (if you play to 50 points) is a fun twist on it - try to add cards to a word without finishing it (and hope you know the long word that others are creating!!). Unfortunately it does have the potential to degenerate into arguments, mainly about the rules!

Mildly entertaining with 4+ players (anything less is a yawn). Definitely worth an occasional play.

Disorder is an interesting word game that has some unique gameplay. You play a card, either face-up as a specific letter, or face-down as a wild, in an attempt to extend a word without finishing it. If the subsequent player can either name a word that you've finished, or successfully challenge you to name a word that you're working toward, you lose the round. This is definitely thinky and rewards an extensive vocabulary. There are definitely some left-right binding issues in a multiplayer game. It's a nice change of pace from other word games, though.

Weird anti-word game. The point is to force your left-hand neighbor to complete a word. Points for originality, but a little more screwage than I'm looking for in a word game. (1 play)

It has some cool ideas but I'm just not a fan of games where one person can dominate because of inherent skill and there's no mechanic to really combat that.

[R&R Games 2006 edition] {word; bluffing, word generation; optimal 2p} Disorder is a novel word game, in which bluffing is possible. The rule is easy to understand and explain. It would be quite fun with suitable players, but I doubt if my wife will like it.

Players with better vocabulary have slightly better chance of winning. Nevertheless, word skill is only as important as tactics in disorder: good choices of cards (function, bluffing, letter) and bluffing.

To avoid unnecessary down time, I suggest that a timer (90 seconds) should be used to limit the duration of a turn.

It's a pity that Disorder is not very scalable. It is only good for 2 players. It may be ok for 3 players. However, it isn't good for more than 3 players - players just have no control at all.

The cards, though colorful, are too thin for my taste. The board isn't necessary but it is nice that it's dedicatedly made.

You have cards with letters (and a few special cards). On your turn you add a card to the board, adjacent to the cards already there; you may play a card flipped over as a wild. You're trying to AVOID finishing a word. If you can finish a real word after the person to your right plays, you may challenge them. If you're correct, you win -- they get the points indicated on the letters. If you cannot, but they were bluffing and cannot spell a word using the letters on the table AND other letters, they get the points. Keep playing till someone gets to 50points; the player with the fewest points wins.

Don't play this game with word wizards! Other problems with the game: the cards don't have the letters in the corners, but only in the middle of the card, so it's hard to see what's in your hand. Also, the board is superfluous. It will likely be a while before we play again.

There seemed to have been something missing in the teaching of this game, so we kind of gave up on it after a couple of times around the table.

Lets just say that games that require you to know how to spell words isn't my idea of fun. Maybe if I could use a dictionary while playing.

This is an interesting game as a small filler type. Honestly though, we seldom actually finish a game or even bother to keep score. The rules are pretty meh, and the game usually ends up with either no player ever calling any other player or every player thinking up some word other than what they were originally doing, which just turns into a session of "nuh uh" "uh huh" "nuh uh". I'll play this with my girlfriend to pass time, but it mostly just collects dust.

SOrt of a Liars Dice with letters and words. It lacks the tension of Liars Dice and I hate word games.

Board is useless, and actually detracts from the usability of the game. Poorly considered mix of letter frequency in the deck. Special cards encourage long periods of analysis. Different rules and deck mix could make for a better game. As it is, the game is ponderous and unsuitable for any game setting other than a 2-player game with people of equivalent vocabularies who don't mind a slow word game.

Variant on the old car/parlor game, Super Ghost, where you alternately add letters to either end of a word, trying make a real word, but without completing a real word in the process.
