It's beautiful, it's challenging, it's down right hard at times. What more could one ask for in an abstract strategy game?

Deceptively simple, addicting, and fun. It's more strategic than you would think. Do you extend in to a new area? Do you block off an opponent? Or can you do both with the same piece? Great game!

A great AbsStrat - especially for 4 players - this is still my favorite 4-player strategy game.

One of my favourite games! Not much a fan of abstract games (although I play them more often lately) I was attracted to Blokus immediately because of the nice pieces. The game is different every time and requires another strategy every time. Demonstrated this game for Hodin at Spellenspektakel and it was well received there as well!

Near perfect game so simple it makes you wonder why this was never done before. Plays well with young and old alike and puzzle-like appearance is appealing. It's interesting enough to draw none gamers into a game or two (because they didn't quite get it right the first time around so they want to give it another go...)

This is a fantastic game. It's quick, easy to learn, hard to master, never the same twice, and visually pleasing. Great game, I'd recommend it to anyone.

One of my all-time favorite, but only with 4 player. Very political when all 4 players are playing against each other ; viscious when playing in teams.

The game is beautiful, thought-provoking, and rewards varying styles of play. 2- and 4-player are great; 3-player is somewhat awkward. Simply terrific overall.

Everybody always wants to lick the pieces. I tried it when no one was around and they don't taste all that great.

The more I play it, the more I like it. This is a true 10 for me -- I think I could be asleep in bed when the Blokus pieces got dumped onto the table and I'd jump up to come play. It's a deceptively simple no-luck abstract, easy to teach, accessible to all. Young kids are often very competitive!

This game is beautiful! Try the two-person variant or play in two teams. Every shape (of a certain color) exists only once. It would be possible to write a book about each piece describing its unique character. Blokus is also a game of balance and it takes much time to gain mastership.

A simple abstract tile laying game. Sanctioned by the bods at Mensa and you can see why. This game is so simple kids can play and yet elegant and intricate in its own way too. I have a feeling this will shoot to the top of my hot 10.
After a few more games I re-rated this as my first 10 ever. Love it.

Really enjoyable and easy to teach. I've played it with kids from about 6 up with good success. It's a good tetris-like abstract. Of the three oft-compared games Blokus, Blokus Trigon, and Gemblo, this one is the easiest to teach and play.

This was an instant love affair for me. Oh, how I love this game.

And blast my family for not loving it the way I do!

I harrassed friends to join the blokus server so we could play online. It's not the same.

Oh, and if the age question comes up, Max wins whenever two ultra-competitive adults are playing, too -- funny how we tend to let his dominance go unnoticed until it's too late. But, as I said, I can't get anyone to play very often.

I think I might actually be willing to play a game of Monopoly with Max if he agreed to play 3 games of Blokus in return. Okay, maybe even just two games.
