The eerie war chant emanating from the morning fog set chills down every spine. "Lah, lah, la lah, lah, lah."

Very much like Battle Cattle. if you have that game, you defs dont need this one. I like it enough to play it a few more times. the production values are quite high, and the theme is cool, but that saves it a little from being complete rubbish. Worth a shot, but try before you buy.

Can't You See That You're Lost Without Me?

A game that is almost pure spite. Really all you're doing is either protecting yourself or harming others. The thing is, the only real incentive to harming others is either because you like person A less than person B, or because one person can get eliminated much faster than another.

The theme of this one did draw me in, especially since the premise is ridiculous. Couple that with the Iron Maiden font and parody names of famous rock icons, and this had all the makings of being a guilty pleasure game. To some degree it is. It's kind of silly imagining yourself moshing without a head or legs, but at the same time, so much of this game is you being at the mercy of the cards.

Parts of this game were designed pretty well. Those with lost limbs don't have as much to worry about, and dual usage cards help with the luck of the draw a bit. I just don't see much here aside from the novelty value. If you're looking for a game where you can turn your brain off (No pun intended), this one isn't horrible, but it isn't all that good either. I would actually put other Take That-style games like Munchkin above this one, although this game is far, far shorter.

It's another one of those light, chaotic, take-that style of game that I just do not enjoy. It entirely depends on luck of the card draw, and being able to convince players to attack other players instead of you. I do like the switchback style of card play, but this is just not my style of game.

--- Summary ---
Cards have some combination of body parts (left/right arm/leg, head) -- 2 parts per card. Players have zombies that can take 3 hits/part (Side A), or 2-4 hits per part (varies; Side B). Each round, deal 4 cards/player, and 2 attacks/player. On your turn, play 2 cards: either defend against an attack (play matching body part card), or attack another player. After everyone has played, play the other 2 cards switchback style. After all 4 cards played, take a damage to the appropriate part for each unblocked attack; if you take maximum hits for three body parts, you're knocked out of the game. Play till only 1 player remains. If more than one are knocked out in the same round, the player with less total damage taken wins.

There really isn't much to this one. The components are fairly nice, the zombies are well drawn, but the game play isn't anything to write home about. Probably rate a two except for the Iron Maiden font used on the zombie cards. I want that for everything.

A simplistic, "take-that" game. It is not entirely devoid of strategy, but this game is bad. There's not much here other than luck of the draw and negotiation (convincing opponents to not attack you).

pure spite game with stalemate problems -- players can either play cards to attack or defend and you win by surviving, not by harming opponents. So, always defend to play optimally, which in turn makes the game fail to terminate.

Also, the game is stupid.

One of the worst games I have ever played. Might be OK for kids that have 1/2 a brain like the zombies.

I held off on purchasing this game for a very very long time. I continued to see it at my FLGS for two or three years. It never sold in all that time, until finally it appeared on a 50% off sale. I had just walked into the store, my wife saw it and claimed if anyone should own this one it should be me and so we bought it.

Anyway, this is a fun fast filler. The components are really top quality. The card mechanic is simple and really enjoyable. The cards are split with one action on the top half and another on the bottom half. The actions are hits that attack your opponents body parts (i.e. something like left leg, right arm, head, etc.) All you have to do is block the attacks with cards from your own hand. Those that go unblocked hit your limbs. Once a player has three limbs fully covered with hits, they are out of the Mosh pit and out of the game. Last person standing wins. I kick myself for waiting so long because it really is a silly game that my wife really enjoys.
