Probably the first time I had ever seen a 'table-top' wargame was when I saw this game in a store. It took awhile before I bought it, but wow how did it change my life. I absolutely love the setting the game takes place in, and it, as well as its sister game Space Marine, are some of my most prized posessions.

And that box cover art... My favorite box cover art of any game I've owned.

LOve the minatures. Nothing like trashing tall buildings, then going hand-to-hand with a chainfist. Never been to lucky with the dice though!

The first of many Epic scale releases by GW. So much fun. huge robots, with campaign rule that followed the same Titan crews throughout their careers. Ranks were gained, Titans lost and salvaged for parts, crushing defeats suffered. Great fun. One of really fun parts of the game was seeing the photos inside the rulebook that included (at the time) prototype Space Marines and Land Raiders battling the Titans as well. These were not released yet, not even hinted at by GW, but it allowed for great conjecture and speculation by us Titan players. We were in for a great future game, Space Marine, that would suck lots of our time, money and energy during high school. Great game, great memories.

No idea why this is rated so low on the Geek. Great models, a built in campaign system, easy to understand rules and compatibility with Space Marine are just a few reasons to get this excellent robot-stomper.

When beefed up with the rules from Codex Titanicus, this is the best Epic system that Games Workshop (or anyone else for that matter) has ever come out with.

This is an enjoyable game, one of my favorites from waaaay back. When we play, we prefer the Warlord Titan Mk I (the original plastic Titans from the Adeptus Titanicus box) instead of the blocky, Bauhaus-style Titans released in recent years. Now that I've found some people interested in playing, I want to obtain more Mk I Warlord Titans.

This is the game, more than any other, than sent me into a frenzy for the 41st Millenium. I still remember almost getting into a car accident on the way home from buying the game, as I kept looking at the back of the box while I was driving!

A fun game, used to play it with card discs for titans on the table on the train - able to play on quite small playing surface a big advantage. Long weapon ranges and short movement speeds meant positioning and cover extremely important. While other games are far better in a technical sense none have captured the slow moving heavily armed 'land battleship' feel for me like AT did.

The first of the big box sets from GW. The city buildings are not so great but the Titan figures are awesome, and have customizable weapon systems on the figures. The game rules are well written and convey a sense of size. Before the end of the game your almost guaranteed a lumbering, smoking hulk just waiting to explode. Just get close enough to your enemy before you do and try to take them with you!

Titans definitely added a lot to this game (Space Marine/Epic 40K). How many games allow you to make a "stomp attack"? LOL! The card-driven Titan close-combat system is a mechanic I've adopted for my own attempt at game design.

Back in the day this was something a little different, almost a robot on robot or mecha game set in the 40k universe. On its own its nothing too special at all, but in my opinion this game should probably be considered just an expensive - but welcome - appendage to the true game, Space Marine, or as it became known, Epic.

An excuse to bundle several plastic titans in a box with the rules for their combat, it probably should never have been released on its own and should have been integrated into Space Marine from the get go, but SM already had a box chock full of miniatures.

One of GW's early attempts at large scale combat. Game play was awkward but functional. Unit costs were not really balanced for this edition of the game with the same weapon systems appearing in every game we played due to their value.

I owned this at one time, along with space marine. It was my first real foray into micro-minature gaming. It was fun by the days standards, but is really lacking today. The titans were kind of cool, but it was just "mecha" ideas on crack and placed in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Nothing really original here. There are much better sci-fi micro-miniature games out there. Check out Dirtside II from Ground Zero Games.
