A little bit of Uno, Hot Potato, Munchkin, Survivor (the TV show) and a lot of "take that" card play. You are trying to play cards to build a raft before all players run out of cards. But there is a potential bonus for being the first player out of cards. But if you don't run out of cards, you have more time to build the raft. There's also a volcano (shocking!) which gets its own score that serves almost like a pace car, because if the volcano gets to 300 pts before any of the players, then it wins and they all lose. So there's a co-operation element. But because the "take that" element is so strong and random, there really isn't any strategy to speak of. It might make a decent filler if the game wasn't so painfully long. The production is very weak, with the only nice components being the laser-cut number totems. The art and card quality are embarassingly bad. There might be a couple of original ideas here, but the bottom line is that the game just isn't much fun.
