This is a fun game that in other hands would have cost 50$ and come in a box bigger than a breadbox. Good replay value and some interesting house rules to be had. Combine with CAG's LightSpeed for a transitional between games (ie Use a round of LightSpeed to determine starting position of Steam Tunnel)

Fun little filler game, though the endgame does start to bog down a little as you sit there and try to follow what paths exists, where they go, and which ones are closed.

One of my favorite of the Cheapass games I've played. Fun, quick, easy to learn, and an interesting mechanic. Leaving out 12 cards each time before laying down the "board" makes the game different each time and prevents card counting. I feel like this game gets overlooked in discussions about Cheapass's best games.

Fun. Feels like Nexus or Carcassonne, but I guess strictly speaking not a tile-laying game, since you don't decide where a given card goes. Decent balance between luck and strategy, but on the whole lighter than Nexus, and very quick (I'd say 15 min rather than 30) so if you play in bad luck one game, just play again. Nice features: game is actually played on a torus; edges of the board wrap around. Why is there not a geek list for this feature? Also, not all of the cards are used every time, so no advantage to counting how many of each type have been played (as in Carcassonne).

A different kind of connection game. Less tactical, less control, but strategy plays a definite part.

This one turned out to be a bit more fun than I expected. The basics are simple and the strategy is apparent after a few plays. I've only played this with 2 people so far - I'm sure it would be a bit more challenging with a third or fourth player. You need a good non-slick surface to keep the cards neat.

Interesting strategy, okay to play. Scoring is a long affair complicated by number of branching and rejoining tubes, cross-over and wrap around edges.

Very quick and clever little game, but I fear your decisions don't make that much of an impact on your outcome. I'd have to play a few more games to make sure.

The game design is great, but following the pipes is a real problem for me. I'm sure that one other player (who won each time he played) has no trouble with that, though. I need a computerized version that highlights the existing paths.

Homemade (with more quality than the original). Feels a bit like Carcassonne but the "digging" part adds a different, more aggressive feeling. It's also faster.

While the maze of twisty passages (all alike) was a bit hard to wrap my head around, it seems like nice filler with simple rules and lots of interactivity. Scoring's a bit of a pain once you get some serious tunnels going on, though.

While the ideas are interesting, it seems that ease of play wasn't considered. Trying to keep track of the closed tunnels is rather difficult and scoring takes a bit too long. Of course, all of that could easily be remedied by a calculator and a way of marking closed tunnels.

Surprised by quite a high rating for this game. Huge difference in resulting scores among players and seems almost pure luck. Not much decision making either. Well, I will play it again if there is a chance.

I enjoyed the game itself, the problem with this game is that counting the score in the end takes about 10 times longer than the game - which constutes a problem around my table.

It's a good tilelaying-game until the scoring begins. The scoring mechanism is so complicated (actually more "difficult in practice" than complicated) that it destroys the fun of the game. With a better scoring mechanism it could've been a fun little hip-pocket game.

I've introduced this to four groups now. All have liked it with several saying that they want to buy a copy at each. It is eye twisting simple fun. It seems best as a 2 player game, but even does reasonably with 6! (one more than recommended).
