Great game that always changes - but you have to be willing to accept the total randomness of the game.

I love this game. The rules are simple, yet every game is hugely different. There are so many spells that can have clever or unexpected uses.

One of the most played games in my group. I'm always sad when someone else gets the Brain Stone, though. Mmm...brain stone.

One of the best, mean little beer and pretzels games ever. Love Tom Jolly's stuff and this is my favorite.

Yes, it's got a large random element, but it's one of the few games I own that is *always* fun to play, and has a decent strategic element too.

This is a great game! In my opinion this game gave birth to Magic the Gathering and other card game. It is easy to get into, and your imagination is your only limitation (and the cards in your hand). One of my favorite aspects of this game is it very versatile and out of the 1000+ games I have played no two have really ever been alike. I would love to see Chessex re-release this game with some of the qualities of MTG.

Best game ever designed.
"Gotchas" are funny, rarely fatal. Usually plays quickly. Every game is different. Even hardcore gamers can have a grand time playing it seriously.

My favorite game ever. Has been the center of many social gathering evenings where old and new players have fun. Streamlined concept and rules. Never have had same outcome in hundreds of plays even after you know all the cards and maps. Seems to retain fun and excitement even after playing for 15+ years now.

OK, it's an awesome, classic game, but I'm actually kind of burned out on this. (Everybody always wants to play this!) This game has caused a lot of arguments; a lot of my cards have clarifications scribbled in pencil.

Update: Oh, why fight it. I may pretend I don't love you, Wiz-War, but deep down you know I do. This game is my group's standard filler.

I prefer it with three, as downtime increases with the number of players. Four fast players are OK, though. Lousy with two.

This might just be my favorite take-that game. I will never turn down a game of Wiz-War, and I've never played a bad one...no matter who won.

I am currently holding a grudge with Chessex for holding the rights to this game for years and not releasing it. Let my Wiz-War go!

I made the homemade version of this game (thanks Jeff Jeloba!)
Lots of fun..... We made all of the cards plus some of Jeff's originals. Great variety and lots of laughs.
One of the few games that has a great blend of variety, fun/sillyness, strategy, and most importantly - interaction.

Tons of fun! Very simple rules, and most of them are modified via use of spell cards that can do darn near anything. The expansion adds more cards, pieces for 2 more players, and it is a must!

GREAT GAME! Even better with the Expansions (adds two players)... I couldn't possibly rave enough about this game. Made a German edition with card translations based on Jeff's Custom Wiz-War files, cards printed on business cards.

Certainly one of the great beer and pretzel games. Magic the Gathering would never have happened without it. Wacky, clever and with enough variation to warrant repeat play. One of my favorites, even so many years down the line. Expansions are a must.

One of those games that I always want to play. Dealing with the randomness of it all is really part of the strategy. All your plans must be flexible or you are sure to end up trapped in a corner punching at the wall. So much light silly fun should entertain anyone for at least a while.

Absolutely amazing game. Far more fun than any other game I've played. There's a lot of strategy, but you can't plan ahead because everything can change in an instant. The good moves you make matter more than the bad moves.

You can find a printable version of the game tokens & boards here:
