"It was really fun and it was really good. We enjoyed it! The game is really unusual and it was our first time playing it. I hope it has an expansion so it gets even better! There were lots of cards and the Black Baron is fun to play against, and easy to beat." (ed. even though the Black Baron won once!) "We hope that we play it again really soon. The board is long and I like the moon." - comments from RJ, age 6

I enjoy the simultaneous reveal/bid mechanic for its tense uncertainty, sitcom and quick pace. I have played quite a few games using this mechanic, but so far I think this game implements it the best. Very similar to Raj/Hols de Geier, but reduces the scoring to a visual point by point race to be the first to the moon. Admittedly, the extra special ability cards can add some confusion, but it only takes a couple of quick games to time their use. Besides, they add an extra dose of sitcom, with high bids often backfiring and low ones suprisingly move up. Some will complain it is just a luckfest, but it is all about card counting and making decisions which increase the odds in your favour (i.e let others pass you, play your high sand bag to get underneath highly potential movers who you can hook on next turn).Rating is for upto 4 players as more makes it difficult to see what cards are still to play and so more random; also resolving card play is more cumbersome. Rules also include some interesting variants to suit group size and tastes.

WOW!! I can't believe this game is so poorly ranked. Yes it is a light game. Very much like "war" with enough variation to keep it interesting and a lot of second guessing what your opponent will do. This is the last game of the night. Because it plays real quick and it does not take too much brain power after thinking all night. But it sure is fun with 4 or more players. Buy it, play it, love it. My wife despises board games and she plays this one.
4p-6p is best.

Fun game. Some decision making, lots of he-knows-that-I-know-that-he-knows-that-I know... thinking. Quick playing, good kids or filler game. More fun with more players. Try changing the hand size for variety; more cards will lessen the luck factor.

Splendid card game, fast setup, extremely easy to learn, enjoyed by all ages! There is an element of luck which could offend the purists who only enjoy games based on strategy. One of the best lightweight games going.

I love the theme and artwork of this game. It's easy to learn, not a lot of rules. You have to play it a few times to get a feel for what cards should be played when. Plays quickly, a good inbetween game.

Players have a hand of cards that are used in a 'choose and reveal' type action to move their ballon towards the moon.

Best played in a large group (more chances of misfires happening). It plays quick. It's open for variants too.

This is a perfect filler (especially for non-gamers) and is always a laugh to play. People always want to go again after each game ends! Gem.

Forget using the 'bot' as the random card flipped over each turn is really a crapshoot.

A delightful game of racing hot air balloons to the moon. Yes, that moon. Quick and easy mechanics, simple rules, and a rather balanced playing field combine to make it just plain fun. Also, you race hot air balloons to the moon. It can be played just fine with only 2 players, using a dummy player for a third balloon.

It's surprising how so simple a game can be so much fun. The more players you have the meaner the game gets. A good time for people that enjoy games where you intentionally try to 'gank' everyone else. We always play with the Black Baron variant. Lots of fun!

You can play this solo by
playing the first card off the deck of the other balloons in play. It's great with kids and fun for adults too. Almost a whacky race type of game. Compared to other games i give it a 7 but in terms for value for money and fun it gets 10/10

Maybe I'm just a sucker for balloons, since I like Balloon Cup and Cloud 9, too. This is a nice implementation of blind bidding as a race format, with board position helping to influence the guessing and second-guessing.

Nice if everyone gets a full hand of cards... otherwise there is way too much luck involved.

A nice 'try to outguess your opponent' game. Still sees a fair bit of play at our club.

Despite the fact that my friends think this game plays it self, I think it is a fun game.
Play it with my kids a lot and we have lots of fun. Best is to play this with at least 4 persons and a neutral opponent. (the barron)
The original theme and the fun game elements will keep me playing it on a semi regular basis.
