Hope this is the Uberplay game by Moon & Weisblum. This game is a lot of fun. The offering stage is a good change from the rest of the game. Has some similarities to New England, but definitely a different game. And the components are great quality. Not sure why they supply the canvas bag, though, although it fits with the game theme somewhat.
Reading the rules of this game I was struck by the originality of the roll-and-move mechanic, and thought that the idea of chasing around the board dodging the storm and the thief would make for lots of suspense and fun. But it actually doesn't work AT ALL - just a lot of turns of decision-free tedium followed by the odd stroke of good or bad luck. And there's absolutely no reason for it to be a co-op apart from the designer's silly ideology. I really want to like Family Pastimes games - whatever their other quirks, they're doing something genuinely different from anyone else in the industry. But this turkey should never have escaped from the drawing board.
