I agree that the game play could be streamlined and tightened and some of the questions need editing, but we've played this several times and have had a pretty good time. The lucky lottery did tip the balance heavily in one game, but that made the other players make riskier bets, one of which paid off. The content is interesting.

I really enjoy this game but the luck factor of the massive lottery feels off-balancing.

Very enjoyable with the right group of people. I like having the chance for confrontation in this game by intentionally missing a question so that the person loses a ton of money he bet on you getting it right.

Fun, simple party game with betting. Players bet whether someone will likely get a question right or wrong. The questions are multiple choice, though most of the answers are unexpected. I like to bring this out every 4-6 months when we have 3-4 of us together and we want a light party game.

Ideal Players: 4

Description: Bet on multiple choice answers in this statistical trivia game.

Pro: Lots of fun statistical facts. Interesting betting mechanism.

Con: Limited replayability. Some dated facts.

Definitely not a strategy game, but lots of fun with casual players. The lottery system does tend to sway the outcome considerably.

I have won almost every game played, but I don't enjoy it. Too chaotic and tough to keep people at the game. One person in our group loves this game--unfortunately--so I guess it appeals to some. The trivia questions are not well written. Too many unrelated things going on.

Lottery needs to be toned down a little. (or maybe a lot?)

Dislike the questions "Out of 123 accidents last year, how many..." with answers of a)123 (all), b)0(none) or c)some number (which is the answer)

With the right people, with the beer flowing and the stereo blaring, this could be a perfectly good game. The lottery is absolutely broken, but any of a number of house rule tweaks fix that. It's a good game if you like to screw your neighbor by intentional tanking a question he bet a small fortune on you to get right. There was one question about which position college women preferred by some wide margin. Think doggies. My son almost wet himself he was laughing so hard. That's when we decided this might not be the game for our family.

Gambling makes this game. It's not a bad idea to substitute Trivial Pursuit quesitons (now and then) in place of the game questions to get rid of the multiple choice factor.
I'm starting to detest the lottery in this game and plan to come up w/a variant that plays w/out it.
The game is HEAVY on luck and I've lowered my rating w/repeat plays. Also, the game tends to take quite a long time w/4 players (possibly longer than a game of Trivial Pursuit.)

Drags on longer than it should. Also the lottery tickets are a very cheap quality component. The same concept was done a thousand times better in Wits & Wagers.

Definitely has some expoitable flaws, and takes a little too long for a casual game. We usually find ourselves getting bored midway through playing this one.

It's fun enough to be a party game. But the rules are too convoluted for the non-gamer crowd to take it, yet there's too much luck for the hardcore set to take to a game of this length.

A number of good ideas, but the lottery system absolutely ruins it as a competitive endeavor. Think Monopoly's Free Parking sprayed with gamma-radiation and bent on destroying the world. The endgame is rife with the worst sort of kingmaking. Even the casual gamers I played with hated it in practice, while liking it in theory. Maybe a revised version...?

Dump the lotto and this is not too bad of a game. Trivial pursuit, but you get to wager on every question no matter who is answering.

Update --> Wits and Wagers is better at what it does. I think converting the questions from this game to WnW would add to that game.

This game doesn't do it for me. Too many rules for what it delivers. I could barely get through the rules to figure out how to play before I simply gave up and started reading questions. Half of the questions are funa and interesting but the other half are pretty feeble. As a fun game, it is overly complicated in ways that do not add to the game. As a serious game, there are too many purly random events that have a big effect on the outcome. Overall, very dissapointing.

(CT) Keep it on the shelf (or better yet, at the store). No strategy involved here, just light betting mechanics and moving around the board. Usually, whoever gets to the end first wins a huge amount of money and, as a result, the game.
