Very strange trick taking game, where you always try to either get the trick yourself or to help your buddy to the left. Works best with 4+ players.

Only tried 3-player, but I enjoyed this.

Adjusting how you play based on the cards you have, the cards already played and the colour-mix of the cards being contested involves more thought than I expected. Often, joining a winning suit with a lowish or middling card is a fine way of leeching off someone else's high cards.

My wife thought the pig & meerkats artwork to be pretty weird, even by the normal standards of my games.

Shame about the "made in China" box & card quality, though.

There is more in this than meets the eye. Much thinking for such a seemingly simple game.

Not a lot of control in this one. Most of the time the decisions of what to play were obvious and dictated entirely by the cards you drew. It's not enough to say that you needed to get lucky with the card draw - that's obvious. But you needed it to sync up in the correct way with the other players. Just no there there that I could see.

A trick-taking game where getting high cards is much too important. Without them, the best you can do is to interfere who of the other players will score. Being at the right position in player order is usually decisive, i.e. you want to play the last card to the trick. If you can't get the trick you will want to give it to the player on your left but planning for that is more to the mercy of the cards than clever play. It's short but there are so many good trick-taking games around that I don't see me playing this again.

A trick-taking game that stresses opportunistic play to the max. If you can't grab the big points yourself try to support your left-hand neighbour because the last seat clearly has the highest chances to decide the trick. However, low cards are mostly useless and if you end up with a hand with no high cards you're basically screwed. Getting your colours out of sync with the rest of the table is similarly bad. In the end, that means that a hand mostly plays itself.

[HUCH! & friends 2011 edition] {abstract; trick-taking; optimal 4p} This is a mediocre trick taking game. You don't need to follow suit here. High cards are just too important in this game; thus, luck is strong. With low cards, all you can do is to screw a player.

Anyway, it isn't too expensive for such a game. The illustration is too pedestrian! Why every single card looks the same and there are five same numbers on the card....
