Oh awesome! It's a mini expansion! And, beautifully created tiles. I proudly salute you, sirs at Rio Grande, fFor nobly making the Seige available to a broad market. I *love* the cult spaces!

The Cult and Siege tiles add just the right amount of nastiness to the game, and also help keep cities and cloisters in check, preventing overly inflated scores. Essential.

Not sure what we're going to do with the blanks yet.

A small, but fun, expansion pack. The open tiles help to balance the creative ways of closing farms that other expansions added, making for interesting farming possibilities.

Cult, Siege, and Creativity is really three even smaller expansions. Cult consists of 6 tiles, Siege is four tiles, and Creativity is two tiles. Cult introduces "cult sites" which work basically the same as "cloisters", and Creativity is simply two blank tiles that you can "create" yourself. The best part of this expansion is the four Siege tiles which reduce the value of a completed city, but doubles its value to a farmer.

I haven't used the Creativity tiles, and I have stop playing with the Cult tiles, but I still really enjoy using the Seige tiles.

This has to be the best carcassonne expansion for the cost. The siege tiles are a great addition to the game, as it makes you question just how big you want to try to make a city at any given time. With the impending thought that your opponent could siege your city at any moment. The siege tiles reduce the number of points you receive for your city by 1 point per tile (e.g. a normal city is only worth 1 point per tile when completed, and 0 if incomplete. A cathedral city is worth only 2 points per tile complete, and 0 points if incomplete.). The cult tiles are most useful, in my opinion, for expanding farms, because there are fewer roads to end the farm. Any way you look at it, this is a great little expansion.

This a "must" expansion. The ever hard "spielbox" edition has been re-released as this. The artwork is different, but to me it does not matter. Besieging a city to make is less valuable is just downright vicious....I love it. And those Cloisters that no one wants to finish now have some competition with the heretics and temples.

A nice little expansion. The priest/heretic race can make you take your eye off the ball if you are not careful. Seige is very nasty. Will probably add it to each game we play from now on. Who know we may even get round to using the 2 blank pieces!

I really like the siege tiles, as they make it somewhat risky to try for large cities. On the downside, that makes farmers even more powerful. Combined with the cult tiles, I have a feeling these will make for some very high scoring games.

I've wanted the siege tiles ever since Die Katharer was released in Spielbox magazine. I even printed out the order form, but never went through with ordering a magazine from Germany for four measly tiles.

These tiles are now present and accounted for in this expansion. My one caveat is that they have changed the artwork. The original tiles showed the city walls crumbling as the city was attacked. I really loved how that looked; while the new tiles just show siege engines and tents waiting outside the city walls. On the plus side, the new tiles do not have the odd praying monk icon inside the city (though he may have helped identify the tiles when performing final scoring). I like being able to 'drop a bomb' in someone's city, or just throw it down anywhere for the farming bonus. It is also neat that you can spirit away your knights if you place a cloister next to these cities. Best part of the expansion for me.

The cult tiles are fun too. You can place them next to a cloister to challenge it for points (and vice versa). Whoever completes their perimeter first takes all. At the same time, the "cult" and "heretic" theme is a little heavy for Carc. I'll be choosy with my vocabulary when playing this with certain folks.

The creativity tiles are kind of lame. Two white tiles. I think it would irritate me to have tiles that I've drawn/painted on show up. Though ... if someone where to photoshop paste-ups of the original Die Katharer tiles with the crumbling walls I would be all over that!

All in all this is a fine little expansion. Adds a lot more to the game than something like the River II without going crazy with new rules. And unlike the King expansion, you don't need a pen and paper to keep track of any bonuses. Recommended.

I like the Siege very much. Anything that deducts points is good for this game. I've only played the Cults a time or two. I like the general idea, but am still trying to figure out if I like the actual scoring rules, or if I'd like to make a house rule for that. Most of the time they are just played as cloisters, though. We haven't added anything for the Creativity tiles.

Fortunately there are some nice ideas here for the Creativity part, otherwise I'd be lost. I especially like the cult part, though the rule that allows knights to escape through cloisters seems a tad convoluted.

The cult places are pretty straightforward and provide a neat way to fight monastaries.

The Seige/Katharer tiles can be a little tricky to use and could be too confrontational for some people, but are a great way to "poison" cities that are growing too large.

We haven't decided on what to do with the creativity tiles yet, but the one time we used them they worked well as "wild" tiles that could be used to replace a tile that was already on the board - the replaced tile could then immediately be placed somewhere else.

The Siege is great for screwing an opponent out of points, especially if they have a good-sized city going or a city that would be hard to complete. We mix the Seige in most of the time. We tried the Cult a couple of times, but the rules are confusing, the updated rules from the big-box are much easier to understand.

I like to add these in with the other 5 'cult places' tiles, for a total of 11 shrines. This changes the character of the game greatly, now having a large number of cloister-type tiles, so I wouldn't do this all the time. We did an interesting game with all the cloisters and shrines possible - I expected more conflict among the religions, but people just avoided it. Was fun seeing all the cloister/shrine scoring though.

Good cheap expansion, especially for those who missed out on Kathars. I have not yet added in all 8 'Kathar' tiles, but would like to try.

Only 2 blank tiles? Not enough. Heck, you could simply buy any cheap Carc expansion for, say, $4, and use those as customizable tiles. A *great* idea, though!

The cult tiles are a cool new way to introduce conflict to opponents' cloisters. The siege tiles work exactly the same as the German-exclusive Die Katharer expansion, which is cool for us Americans who don't want to spend 50 bucks for 4 lousy tiles. Seige tiles cut a city's points in half, but double its points towards farmers. They're cruel, but there's only four. I only wish I would get to draw one when my opponent was working on a huge city once in a while.

The "creativity" tiles are just a couple blanks. I printed up revisions of other tiles I had and pasted them on.

Another cheap, small expansion, maybe 8 Cathar tiles are too many (as they benefit farmers) with the sole Cathar expansion. On the other hand doubling the number of Cult tiles makes that rule more likely to occur which is good
