Incredible expansion. Makes the whole experience of BSG so much richer. New Caprica feels a little tacked on but it captures the series ridiculously well. Again as with my comments for BSG if you like the show just play this game. The tension and confusion of the cylon leaders is fantastic

The new goal for New Caprica is a bit bummer but everything else is dynamite. Pegasus helps the human players and the Cylon leader is something to think about. New cards and new mechanics are what we needed.

Tried this expansion twice now. New Caprica is a decent alternative victory condition, though quite a bit harder. The Cylon leaders are a nice touch, and require a lot more politics from the cylon, especially if you want to infiltrate.

I've played one game as a Cylon Leader. ("Good" cylon leader with a semi-impossible mission: Humans win AND get all resources at 3 or below.) I lost and still greatly enjoyed it.

I'm waiting on to get to play some more...

Improves on an already great base game. Love almost all of it - the cylon leaders, new characters, pegasus, treachery cards, new crisis cards and skill cards. Enjoyed New Caprica too, but it has enough problems that I think the game is better without it.

I hope to never play BSG without this expansion again. I cannot express how great the execution mechanic is, the additional characters add...well, character, the Pegasus itself provides more interesting gameplay decisions, and the cylon leaders help keep things interesting. I don't have strong feelings about New Caprica, but it's great to have another option, and especially one that feels so different from the main game. This is what an expansion should be.

1.19.11 A much needed expansion for the Base game. I like the Base game but the options this adds makes it a must for me. Not a huge fan of New Caprica but don't hate it either.

An excellent expansion to an already fantastic game.

If the base game represents Season 1 (the goal being Kobol, and everything that happened in the first game primarily involving first season story ties), then this expansion is Season 2.

Pegasus adds dozens of options for both cylons and humans. Executions, cylon leaders, treachery cards, the Pegasus, New Caprica, a new Victory Condition for the humans.....there's a lot packed into this box.

Important Note: For this expansion to remain balanced, you must use ALL the additional rules and components. This means ALL extra crisis cards, treachery cards, new skill cards for each color, and both Pegasus and New Caprica.

The Pegasus is a huge boon for the humans, while New Caprica is a very challenging situation for them.

The new crisis cards that are added are usually much harder than the original crises cards, and the additional cards added to each stack balance out the Treachery deck.

There are a variety of tactics that players will wish to know and consider when playing with the Pegasus expansion. Knowing that if the Admiral is a cylon, he'll likely decimate the humans during the New Caprica phase, its built in that you'll have to verify his 'humanness' before getting to the New Cap phase (before Galactica jumps back into orbit). The downside of that is that whoever receives the Admiralship at that point must be checked, etc. etc.

It's been suggested that New Caprica can be 'mathed out', though I'm not entirely sure that's true. It is true, however, that morale and population are the human's two greatest potential weaknesses when reaching New Caprica, so when playing with this end module in mind the humans would be wise to protect those precious resources throughout the game. Protecting them at the cost of the other two resources (food, fuel) while still dealing with the myriad of other issues that come up is quite the challenge. Getting all the humans to the Galactica to avoid executions, protecting the ships in orbit around Galactica, and getting the rest of the ships off planet is a HUGE task, all while trying to put more ships into orbit.

The BSG base game is very playable without this expansion, though if the players wish to add a large number of options, the second season narrative then Pegasus comes highly recommended.

I've seen people say this version was biased towards humans, and maybe it's true if you do things like killing the admiral right away post-4 distance.

Pilots (other than Boomer) are a bit underwhelming in this one, as you'll rarely want to fight enemy ships.

With New Caprica red and blue cards are seen a bit more in the crisis, but without you don't have much to do with red cards.

The Pegasus Expansion adds new characters and treachery cards to the game. New Caprica is a bit of a bottleneck and not a part of the game that I enjoy...is as boring as most of the 3rd season but still playable and fits in well with the series. The expansion adds key characters the makes the game even more exciting than it already is.

Pegasus board and the new ending game are just absolutly amazing, For those of us that were missing the hatch to throw cylons into space this is it!.
Plus it comes with 2 plastic basestars, which I think the base game should have used instead of the cardboard ones.

The new Pegasus ship adds a few more options to the game (airlock!!!), but not quite as game changing as the Cylon Fleet Board from Exodus. Also, the New Caprica ending does not seem all that popular. Other elements added are quite useful though.

This is my favourite boardgame. With a traitor mechanism that fosters mistrust and suspicion amongst players, some of which are trying to work together, this game is wonderful in its semi-cooperative nature and the tension in creates in the fight not just against the game but also those trying to destroy you from within. That it well replicates the TV series is an added bonus.

Despite a sense of continuing despair and doom as resources ever dwindle, the game is never over as the humans persevere to snatch victory and the cylons look for the final blow. Human wins are always close and cheered, cylon wins never produce disgust at the game time wasted but with anticipation about how to next defeat the toasters.

Despite the numerous things that can be done in a turn and the various rules that govern the various aspects of the game, they are individually actually not too complex and with repeated plays, can be relatively straightforwardly learnt.

Obviously with my obsessive stats that I keep, I adore this game!

All stats include expansions
Overall wins: 29/59 (49%)
As human: 18/42 (43%)
As cylon: 11/17 (65%)
