Agricola deserves what it is held for - one of the best games out there to date!
There is some tight playing required if you like that way, but you can also relax and have a family game from time to time. The sheer variety of cards let you have a different strategy each time, so the game does not get repetitive (if you do not play everyday, mind you
I like the game. Partly because I like classical music, but the most enjoyment comes from the overall game-flow. Decide when and which buildings you buy, which operas you then want to invest in and perform, decide on your budget for all expenses and at the same time try to get some victory points! All this is intertwined in a beautifuly presented eurogame.
UPDATE after first play: Fulfilled my expectations! You start low, slowly building up, in the second Season you start generating more money and already can think about using Esperto for Victory Points and in the third Season it is all about maximizing your Victory point count as much as possible. I want to play more!
