I'm mainly playing this solitare at present; interesting game, but very fiddly for rules, even in the cut-down version.

One of my favourite Eurogames. I play it pretty well, and it keeps me very interested. Really want a copy for myself.

Fairly weak entry in the Carcassonne line; not enough variations to distinguish it, though it's fun to play.

I dislike Arkham Horror as a multiplayer game, but love it as a solo game. My rating is based on the solo game experience only - you'll find many a session report here by me for AH!

Big, impressive game, but has severe problems with the rulebook which have yet to be corrected.

I'd like to actually play this some more, but Memoir '44 gets more attention due to superior play.

A fun game, Betrayal at House on the Hill has significantly improved thanks to the errata. The game element can be overshadowed by the flavour and random elements, but my friends like this game even more than I do and are delighted when I bring it along to a gaming session.

Dreadful warping of tiles detracts massively from what is an enjoyable game.

Very "meh" game. Very sensitive to bad rolls, and doesn't have enough in it to sustain interest through several games. There are much better action point games out there.

A better game than the original, although the original gets better due to its expansions. I play it on bsw every so often.

A glorious game that includes a lot of variety in how it plays depending on the order the buildings are placed in. Only drawback is how long it takes in real life; much faster on bsw.

A classic wargame, but one that is hard to find a good number of players for, and that takes a great amount of time to complete.

I had a lot of fun with this game when I was younger. I lost the rules but recently rediscovered them. The different monster and item types add interest to what could otherwise be a very dull game.

My brother and I had a great time playing this game. It's pretty balanced, with one player having a hard time to end up on top after the full game.

The deals and treachery involved in this game make it greatly enjoyable. It probably needs you to use a variant rule to make it harder to complete with fewer players, but is still a great game.

A game that suffers markedly from the way it was packaged. In fact it's not a bad CCG, but suffered from an incomprehensible rulebook and poor distribution. I've been playing it online for several years, and have found it to be much better than I first thought it was.

Though not a bad game, has been eclipsed by its successor, the CMG D&D Miniatures game.

Fast, simple and extremely enjoyable, the simplicity of the basic rules belies the complexity that can be added by scenarios, special abilities and terrain. A very good miniatures game in its own right, with the added attraction of being a useful supplement to the RPG.

I'm still trying to get a handle of the auction mechanic; quite a subtle game, although it can be very luck-dependent on certain draws. Like Alhambra, a good quick Eurogame.

An excellent three-player game; my experience of the four-player game is limited. The front-runner can change very quickly, and the interaction between the players is very pleasing.

I have the original 1st edition of Talisman, though in poor condition by now. I've played the game extensively without expansions, and it still holds up well. One of my favourite games when younger, although overwhelmed a bit by more interactive games like Settlers of Catan today.

Still a winner for those who love fantasy, however.
