A fun game, Betrayal at House on the Hill has significantly improved thanks to the errata. The game element can be overshadowed by the flavour and random elements, but my friends like this game even more than I do and are delighted when I bring it along to a gaming session.
A game that suffers markedly from the way it was packaged. In fact it's not a bad CCG, but suffered from an incomprehensible rulebook and poor distribution. I've been playing it online for several years, and have found it to be much better than I first thought it was.
I have the original 1st edition of Talisman, though in poor condition by now. I've played the game extensively without expansions, and it still holds up well. One of my favourite games when younger, although overwhelmed a bit by more interactive games like Settlers of Catan today.
Still a winner for those who love fantasy, however.
