It's a 2 player roll and go...almost. Backgammon is a 2 player roll and go. It's Backgammon with a few twists.

This has gone down in value due to Shark. I've found that with more than 4, someone gets shafted bad, and with less than that, not enought 'Sharing'.

played 'it' 3 times, never with all rules correct. Bad rule book. Willing to try yet again, but really don't see it going way up in my rating

Great fun party game...can be played with less than 5, but isn't as fun.

Gets more vicious than most, due to the density of cities on the coast.

I like it due to it's simple but subtle decision making, and quick play.

and I like Baseball...this has no flavor...Play APBA

Might have a flaw with the 'insane rail building' strategy in phase 2.

I have the old Eon version, the Mayfair version and the Hasbro version. Original still the best.

The Moons expansion, while adding some twists, tends to guarantee to make the game longer.

Adds Lucre, make game even longer. Only real good if used in conjunction with a Lucre power

Do not play with 5. This seems to be a 3 or 4 player game.

Need more plays to see if familiarity speeds it up. After 5 or 6 plays, I'd say no. I feel that even a strong familiarity with the buildings and interactions will not speed it up that much. So, not a 10, just a 9.

Rules (in my edition) are poorly written.

Need to play this some more.
