Fantastic expansions. The builder, along with the pubs from the last expansion, makes roads worth investing. The Pig makes farms more interesting (and a more daunting investment. The trade goods add some excitement but aren't weighted to heavily as to throw the game. More players, as usual with Carcasonne, improves the game play tremendously.
The first "german" game I played. For the longest time, I thought it was without equal but I have since learned otherwise. The random elements can detract from the game at times, as once you are behind you tend to stay behind. This can lead to profuse muttering of curses. Still the standard by which I measure any new game. I have probably spent more time playing this (live or on the net) then any other game.
Wow. Uwe has done it again. This game is like Agricola meets Caylus via Roads & Boats. If you like big, meaty economic engine games and don't mind a little bit of fiddliness, then this game is perfect for you.
