Didn't do anything for me. Kept losing survivors due to bad rolls. I got to sit and watch everybody else take several actions while I didn't really do much of anything. Makes for a lousy experience. Not too mention you really don't ever associate yourself as one of the characters. I guess they're just a disposable resource. Add a silly (tacked on) betrayer role and it's just the icing on the cake. Forcing everything to come down to the roll of a die is just a lazy mechanic. Don't really feel like there's any real decision making. It's all mechanical.
Sealed and in great shape. One corner of the plastic seal is torn and that corner shows SLIGHT shelf wear. No dings or dents that I can really notice. Overall this is in fantastic shape considering it's age!
Not a fan of this expansion. Too many OP cards which dictate what you should do vs what you would like to do. This along with Peace Treaties just ruins the game for me. The scenarios are nice, but overall this expansion felt like it shifted gears in a different direction than what I loved about EmDo. This also added a 5th player option. Playing with 5 people is the most miserable experience ever. If you like the base game, there's no need to add this expansion.
I really, really like this game. I can play it with my family or I can play it with the guys. No matter the group we've all enjoyed playing. Looking foward to the expansion Live Stock n Loaded released. Will be interesting to see how critters mingle in with the veggies. Overall a great value for the price.
I will start with the bad: Box is in "good" condition with tape on a few edges. Board looks like it has some water damage on the back side that doesn't show at all on the front side.
Now for the good: Everything is there and complete. It says that there are 72 figures per army, but for some reason I counted 75. This version, unlike the newer version has the giant samurai swords that come with the game. Extra grey figures (samurai) than what the instructions says are included in the game. 1 Ninja.
Overall I would rate box and contents a 6.5 out of 10. The rating dropping mainly due to the slight water damage on back of board and scotch tape on box edges from where the seller taped it shut so that it wouldn't spill open.
Got this recently in a trade. The game is overall pretty fun, but it seems like we always end up with a runaway leader who ultimately ends up winning. Rarely does anyone else win but the person who finishes first. Other than that, it's a great game to play with your kids. They learn it fast and really seem to enjoy it.
Oddly enough, when I originally played this game, I thought I liked it enough to buy a copy at Gen Con. I quickly regretted this! The game is horrible! Lasts too long and is all driven around a "take that" mechanic that gets old quickly.
We've had some amazing fun with this game. The only reason this doesn't get a perfect 10 is due to the contradicting rule book, misprinted counters, and painted dice. Don't let those deter you though. The game simply rocks!!!
I absolutely love this game! The mechanics can be a bit of a challenge to understand at first, but once you start playing, you feel like you are in a story book. One of the best games ever made. We just don't hardly ever play. :0(
