Great expectations, but didn't live up to them completely. Still a good game, but it doesn't get played. I think the fact that scoring only happens at the end of the game makes it impossible to really know what's important to do early in the game.

The game got played like crazy during Christmas 2007, but after that it hasn't been played that much. July 2008 - got the english cards and animeeples, will hopely play more. It seems as if Stone Age has replaced this for us.

This has revived Agricola for us. I really like how it doesn't necessarily make the game more complicated, but brings additional elements, but also offering more ways to get things done. Brilliant designing - it avoids the usual expansion pitfalls.

Love the dynamics, asynchronous nature, pretty simple system, exciting dice fights :)

I liked it a lot, but now that there is Caylus Magna Carta, I can't see myself playing this anymore. It is just longer and doesn't offer that much more to justify playing it. It is still a good and important design, because of the new games that have been designed after it.

Amazing game. The rules are actually quite simple, but the game has never been easy to play well. I enjoy the fact that you are not playing a certain power. My only regret is that it took me so long to find this gem. Update: I have to lower the rating by 1, since Imperial 2030 is a definite improvement over this one!

One of the best co-op games I know of. It is uplifting to play as a team and the game is fun even when you lose. That's good because of the toughness to beat the system!

The surprise hit of Essen 2009 for me. I read some exciting things about this beforehand, but it just didn't caught my interest. It was then a blind buy and one of the best ones that I have ever done.

Plays fast, meaningful decisions, theme is working, disasters are great and so on. Scoring is excellent as well.

Nice little filler, easy to get non-gamers to play as well.

A masterpiece. I truly enjoy every game of Power Grid, but I am saddened to report that it has been a hard game for me to get on the table :/ It probably is the length and math involved that scares my family. And my wife says the graphics are too dark and manly :-)

Benelux offers a quick game, which is really good for our slow group. That way I can get my family to play the game more often.

One of the most anticipated Essen 2009 releases for me and it did not fail me. I love it, although I still probably prefer Power Grid.

Only played one three player game of China. I liked it since the bidding was much more important in a game with fewer players.

Maybe too powerful? Only played once, but everyone seemed to get too powerful plants.

Best auction game I know of. Very tactical and brain burning at times, but that is a good thing in this game! The only minus is when playing with new players - they usually underestimate the power of jesters!

Gerdts does it again, at least that was the impression from the first game. This certainly isn't Imperial 2, but as it's own game I liked it quite a bit. I need to play this more.
Update: In our second game, those that had played before rules supreme. It seems that this is a hard game to play well on your first time. More strategy was discovered though and this is likely to receive more table time.

It is quite ok, but not excellent for me right now. I have found this also a hard game to teach and grasp for new players.

Good party game, better if everyone is really tired. This can be pretty dumb if played seriously - the point is really not winning, but having the most fun possible.

Classic that is still played once in a while, because the non-gamers in my family like it so much. I don't mind it when played occasionally.
