It is possible to play Twixt on these boards, but the layout is very cluttered. All those extraneous horizontal and vertical lines get in the way of visualization for me. And the diagonal guide lines are black, just like a link drawn in black pencil would be. How could you tell them apart? The coordinate labels around the board are almost unreadable.

Contrasting colored markers work the best. If you use a pencil, draw a loop around the posts, like a rubber band might look, or scribble a heavier line.
