BV2 Box 3D lowres.skp (1.92 MB) (Log in or Register to download.)
Hey all, thanks to Google's SketchUp, here's a low-res look at the current draft of the box top for BV2, in 3D! You need to download the free SketchUp software to view the file. You can then fly around the box top using the orbit, pan, and zoom tools in the top toolbar.

It's not just an image; it's a 3D model! Once you have the file open, go to the navigator tools in the top toolbar to look around the box in 3D. There's a pan tool (the hand) a zoom tool (the magnifying glass) and most importantly the orbit tool (the spinning arrows) that lets you move around the image.

Is it possible to convert this to a JPG or other more readily available format for viewing? As nice as a tool as "Sketch-Up" might be - I really don't want to load another piece of software just to view one image.

Or, just uninstall it when you're done. Really is a cool tool, though, you can look at models of interesting places all over the world that people have made, Machu Picchu for example: http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=8f9b368b9...

That's very interesting Mark! I do a bunch of AutoCAD and am very interested in the 3D thing. The box looks great!

Yeah, it's a wonderfully intuitive 3D program, obviously not as powerful as the professional ones, but deeply impressive nonetheless, and certainly simpler.
