You get a thumb and a tip for making me laugh - even if I never play this game. I loved the Tom Cruise monster...

Thanks! This is a HUGE improvement on the original rules. My son and I tried to play with the original rules and it was a disaster. We will try our next game using these.

Thanks for taking the time to write the rules in a format that I can more easily digest!

I have to admit that I (and my daughter) really enjoyed reading the rules as they are written with the game, but after reading them, I was left with many questions, so your rewrite has been a big help in clarifying my outstanding questions and will hopefully make our first game much more enjoyable.

Thanks again!

Quite helpful, thanks.

I would change one thing on setup though, being that players cannot start on board H or J (rather than H or N).

There is nothing really special about board N (the temple), however board J (the capital) is quite significant, it's where you go to get heroic quests, it has the better market and one of the trainers.

A bit too good for a starting position if you ask me.

By the way, just a note to say that my son and I successfully played the game twice last year using your version of the rules. Thanks. (we just haven't had a good time to play it again since then).

This makes sense. It's not an official rule, but I think I'll add it in the next version. Granted, someone will always be closer to J than others, but actually starting on it might be unbalanced.

I've owned this game for a few years, but never played it because the rule books were just too confusing. I decided to sell it, but then thought I should give it one more try and found your rewrite of the rules. We were actually able to figure it out and enjoyed playing this game for hours today! I especially like the most important rule of all...if you can't figure out what to do in a situation just make something up and carry on having fun with it. It's now a keeper. A very enjoyable game...too bad the rule book(s) are so bad.
