This is a Lego Designer 2.0 model file for Big City - Lego version. Streets are 2 posts wide, same as the size 1 building. You will need to number the blocks using a sharpie or something. Using this model you can actually order a custom kit from the Lego website. You will need Lego Designer 2.0 to view. Each plate has a 1-post wide border that serves as 1/2 a road. (available for free at http://ldd.lego.com/)

Could you post some pictures of what a Lego version of Big City looks like? It would be interesting and helpful to actually see.
