The markers are thought to be stuck on 15mm wooden cylinders, a black one for the turn marker and white ones for the battle markers (one on the town on the main board and one on the corresponding battle board).

I have posted pictures of a game, in the game gallery under "creative". And this thread explaining the whole project.

These customs labels are great stuff!

Any chance we can have a file that has the Prussians in black or dark blue as opposed to the Russian green?

If so, I'll upload the same file but with these Prussians.

BTW, I ordered gray blocks for the Prussians from Columbia but the paint was very inhomogeneous, unfortunate for a hidden block game... They said they had problems with gray at that time, and so I changed to green, which was used in some older versions.
