I've got one of these in China as well (as mandated by Sightreader!). Sightreader *insisted* that the Greece map be usable with either game set. Geez, what a slave driver, really.

Greece Map for China Cards and Components

And also one of these which is neutral, having no China or K&K labels on the map, for use with the Greece cards I uploaded not long ago.

I haven't decided where to put this 'neutral' file. Ideally I'd add it both here and under China. Might be kinda weird for BGG, but I may try that any way and see what happens.

There doesn't seem to be much interest though. Get on my case and let me know I'm wrong about that and I'll get right on it!

Here's a link to some great comments on what sightreader wanted to achieve with this board.

I'd be interested in getting a stock Greece board without WoP/China labels.

The two maps for WoP and China seem identical. If cards from these base games are used, how is the different card distribution in these games handled?

The two maps are identical. You can use the cards from Web Of Power/K&K for one and the cards from China for the other. Sightreader was adamant that the new Greece board can be used with the existing component from either game.

But the best result is to use the unique cards for Greece, found here:

Greece Cards

I used to have the card break down in my profile, but deleted that... will find it now...

Card distributions for China, Web Of Power/K&K, and Greece, below

PLACE CHINA HOUSE K&K HOUSE GREECE HOUSE
COLOR CARDS SITES CARDS SITES CARDS SITES
Red 13 12 13 12 11 10
Green 12 11 12 11 12 11
Yellow 11 11 11 11 13 12
Orange 11 9 10 9 13 11
Purple 10 8 9 8 11 10
TOTAL 57 51 55 51 60 54

Here are links to 2 of the 3 boards.

Greece Map for China Cards and Components

The 3rd board is a neutral board with no text from either China or K&K. It is intended for use with the new Greece cards exclusively, and the wooden bits from either of the base games. It's a lot easier to look at and use. We use simple basic colored cubes with this map; the less stylized blocky look fits the map well. It can be printed at various sizes, but larger is better (I think 2 19x13" sheets is great, 2 11x17" sheets is fine). Acrobat can be used to control the tiling as desired.

I've just put a link on my desktop to the neutral Greece map as a reminder to get around to finishing it and printing it out (and thence uploading it here!). It is probably complete, just requiring some time to take a final look at it. I can probably do it in the coming week, or so.

Thanks, Liumas, much clearer now. How about the rule set? Is Greece played WoP style or China style?

We play it using the China rules, including Fortifications.

Ah, thanks. What of the slight differences in roads when playing with 4-5? Your redrawn map has a couple roads that are darkened, while Sight Reader's has them as default in play. See the long one in Arcadia and the small one in NE Aetolia.

Sorry Gary, I am subscribed here but never got a notice for your message.

I think this was answered in the other thread, but suffice it to say that my board above is the correct board. Consider Sightreader's board as an advanced prototype.

This board will work with any version of the game system. The original intent was that it be played with China rules, and that is how we always play it.
