Thank you for doing this translation. I'm looking forward to receiving this game in the next month or so.

Regarding the parenthetical comments in the PDF:

2a. Trade: in the German rules, the phrase "in seinem Zug" (in their turn) implies that the "Fortschritt Handel" (or "Trade" card) applies to one turn. If it applied to the remainder of the game, I believe a different phrase would have been chosen by the rules authors.

2b. Build: there is no mention of a free road in the German rules, so I think it is safe to say there isn't one.

There is some missing text in the last sentence of the second paragraph of page 3. The rule for starting resources when using the variable setup is also missing (resources from hexes adjacent to your third town hall).

I can't seem to find any mention of which start resources are allowed when setting up start town halls freely in the German Rules.

Can you please tell me where exactly it says what you describe? The second paragraph on page 4 under Spielende only describes the order of placement for the town halls; nothing about resources in a free setup game is mentioned in Vorbereitung, either.

Thanks for any help with this--I play with a mixed German/English speaking group, and I'd like my rules references to agree with each other!

Right after that. Maybe it was added by Mayfair? It reads:
"Starting Resources: For each terrain hex adjacent to your third town hall, you take a corresponding Resource Card from the supply."

And then:
"Important: As in the basic set-up, no one starts with any roads."
