A set of counters and player mat for King of the Tabletop. Not a full redesign, but just some pimping up of the original components. print and glue the counters to cardboard, and the player mats to card stock, cut along the trimming marks, following this (starting from step 3) http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/347161

This is really great! I did a cleanup also and resized for 1 inch, but your's is way cooler. I also resized and cleaned up Kings and Things counters to add into KOTT to allow 6 players, I'd love to repeat what you have done here with those. Any quick tips on how you did it? Did you use Inkscape for this?

I clumsily used PaintShopPro and converted the orginal artwork to masks and reapplied them to background colors, nothing anywhere near as ambitious as what you did, probably twice as time consuming though since I was learning as I was going.

Thanks; I used commercial software, but Inkscape should do the job. In Gimp I first manipulated the original counters colors and converted to grayscale, then black and white, so as to have almost only the black line left; I then removed the trailing pixels, and made a mask to have the "white" become "transparent". I then exported all the counters as individual files so as to be able to resize/move them around. I imported all the counters in my vector software, and re-did the layout with my new typeface and the background gradients. I then painted the colors of the counters characters. the counter black line is on top of all the colored stuff.

... long story short, there's no easy way.

These tiles are quite beautiful; you have done an outstanding job!

There is one minor problem that I have noticed, though... the "Gold Mine" tile in your set states "1 Gold" at the bottom instead of the "4 Gold" that it should. I almost hate to point this out to you because the work that you have done is truly amazing, but it would be a shame for this admittedly minor issue to go uncorrected.

Another minor issue I just noticed, on page 2 the left-side registration marks are off. Not a big deal as the right side ones are correct and you can get it square with a little effort.

Note that these are sized for A4 paper, which is slightly narrower and taller than the Letter size commonly used in the US.
