The game designer himself - thank you, Christian - has found three errors in the mat:

- Bourlingueur sans scrupules : you discard a card from your opponent's hand (not draw)
- Menaces : It's your opponent who take the characters in his hand.
- Padre Bartolomeo : It's your opponent who draws a character card.

(I will make sure to correct these plus several typos in an upcoming version soon). Apologies.

Great job.

Another tiny error: the red text explaining the Ruse card is still in German.

Thanks - I'd like to update the file - but do not know, how... the handy Edit button is gone.
Shall I try it again via the upload file button on this page?

I tried repeatedly to upload the corrected version 1.1 (via the upload file link on the files page), but had no luck so far (for the corrected German playmat I deleted the old version - then uploaded the new one. This worked, of course ...)
I cross my fingers that my new attempt works this time - a BGG admin told me it should.
Version 1.1 will then be without any technical errors.

The designer of the game himself, whom I contacted, had some more (good) ideas to improve the translation: for example he had a much better translation for the different character types - an alliteration helping in correctly assigning the special cards. If he will get in touch with me again, I most certainly will make a version 2.0 of mat and rules.
