in lack of a proper audio tool, all sound snippets were mixed with "magix video maker deluxe", the german version of "magix movie edit pro" (http://www.magix.com/de/video-deluxe/), where I exported the sound stream as mp3.

On the subject of audio tools, check out Audacity. It's free, works on Linux, Mac or Windows, and is highly regarded.

These mission sounds are superb. Great job. I can't wait to get past the tutorials (Thursday night) and try them. As an aside, the Space Alert Mission Generator program is also very good and I note that it allows for clip replacement. Any tips on taking what you have done and creating the separate clips required?

These really are first class!
Would love to have the snippet in a format that could be used with the random mission generator although I suppose what makes these so great is the background music which could be tough to include in the randomizer.

Nonetheless... great work and I look forward to using these. Thanks for sharing.

My one small complaint though is that the playtime is 80:45 meaning I can't burn them to a normal sized audio cd. I don't know if it's possible, but is there anyway you can shave off the extra 45 seconds or so?

This happened to me, I just burned missions 1-4 on one disc & 5-8 on another.
