Wow! Chris, you are THE MAN! This is beautiful, and we will put it to good use. The extent of my German ended many years ago, so short of asking a retired German teacher I know to translate the rules, La Isla Bohnita would be on the shelf for some time.

I have checked out some of your other game files and am very impressed with how professional they look.

Glad you like the file, Brian, and glad you found it "in time".

This one was kind of difficult, and took a number of iterations over a long time to 'get right' (3 major iterations which we printed and used). I've been meaning to upload this for a while... I hope that the game gets better respect due to this file.

Of course this looks nice - no point in making something look half-assed, right?

I should note in the description that this includes 2 Player rules inline with the rest of the rules instead of broken out in its own section as in the original German. Easier to play that way without having to remember to look in 2 places.

I'm really looking forward to playing this. As a kid I usually wanted to play pirates, not cowboys and Indians, so this looks like a fun game.

Thanks for all your hard work, and I hope this opens some eyes for those who tried Isla and thought it was not worth it!

I have a question about how the beans get on your trade ship. Do you harvest them from the field, get those coins and then put them on the ship to sell again? Or do you just harvest them, get no coins, and put them on the ship in hopes of picking up more beans either on La Isla Bohnita or w/ your pirate ship and THEN harvesting/selling? As I type this out, I think I'm answering my question as the second option makes more sense, but I welcome the answer from someone who's played it before.
