I recently came into an inexpensive copy of the second edition of RoboRally. I was happy to acquire this edition for the higher quality boards and metal models, but there were some aspects of the Avalon Hill edition that I thought would make the game a little less complicated for my son -- namely the player program sheets that help keep track of the register order, damage and life tracks. Also, the docking bays certainly are easier for him to grasp than the somewhat abstract "virtual robot" mechanic in the older editions. This set includes my custom program sheet, my docking bays (created with a board editor and further modified/customized in Photoshop) and custom power down tokens for use on the program sheet. For the time being I'm making use of the damage and life tokens from my 2nd edition set and using the virtual robot tiles as my "Archive Copy" markers. Should I develop graphically matching components, I will add those here as well.
