DT_Deckbuilder.xls (1.39 MB) (Log in or Register to download.)
Use Microsoft Excel to manage your Doomtown collection.
This spreadsheet contains many features to aid your Doomtown collecting and deck building.

It is column A and B which is key to using this tool.

Column A is where you record the number of cards you own for each unique card name there is. The Collection Analysis tab will detail what your collection is made up of.

Column B is used for deck building. You can use all the type and keyword filters to isolate specific cards and record the number you selected. Then you can use the Deck Analysis tab to see how the deck looks.

Note: The data contained only has unqiue entries and from the first set a card appeared in.

Any instructions for this? Specifically, I'm wondering what the different types of rarity are and why some things are written in red or blue.

The text in red is a hold over from when they still issued card errata - the red signifies updated card text.

The Rarity was a mess they made by changing rarity on certain cards from the initial release, to Pine Box Edition (PBE), and Boot Hill Edition (BHE). Why? Who knows!!

I chose not to have multiples of the same cards from each reprint but you can use these addtional rarity fields to identify what was reprinted in each base edition. If you filter for Pine Box Edition on the Episode colum you get a list of all Unique Pine Box cards. However if you filter on PBE Rarity as non-Blanks you'll get a full list of the cards in Pine Box.

As for instructions, record your collection in column A by entering the number of cards you own of each one. After look at the Colection Analysis tab to see what your colelction is made up of.

To build a deck use all the filters to help isolate what cards you'd like, such as asking "I need deeds producing 3 Ghost Rock", or "show me all Blackjacks Dudes". Then enter the number you want of each card in column B. Then use the Deck Analysis tab to see the results of your deck in detail.

Hope this helps. Please post more questions if needed. Any suggestions for improvement also welcome!
